Montreal Workout is a collection of solo electric guitar improvisations recorded in the urban jungle of downtown Montreal on the verge of a pandemic in March of 2020.

Evenings spent in sonic-search of release with the use of Morifone Guitars #02 & #03, a simple chain of effects processing through a Danelectro Honeytone amp, and then recorded directly to Zoom H2.

Oscillating wildly between abstraction and straight-up guitar calisthenics, the Montreal Workout is comprised of instrumental passages that channel the nighttime quietude. Extended mantras of repetition and undulating drone give space to soloing shrapnel and somnambulist fingertip storytelling.

The Empress "Echo System" & Red Panda "Particle" take center stage on the further-out explorations while the pure-tone and dynamism of the Mofirone guitar arsenal speaks clearly on the unprocessed tracks.

From another perspective we see things differently. From where we stand we can never return to the time before.

Part of a the continuing sage of sketches that finds Lost Chocolate Lab as close to the moment of conception as possible.
