The Space Between Two Notes (They Grow Up So Fast) was recorded by Scott W. Colburn in Seattle during sessions that produced over 5 hours of improvised guitar-based soundscapes. Serious Frosting Batch 1 brings the first finalized track out of the oven Mastered by Nathan Moody at Obsidian Sound and exposes the baking process as the rest of the session continues to evolve throughout the mixing process.
The video for The Space Between Two Notes (They Grow Up So Fast) captures the slow-motion rotation of some unique geology provided by the NW Rockhounds and provides the perfect companion to the micro-sonic exploration of frequencies presented within.

Two Notes and the space between.
A simple proposition containing a mystery to be unraveled. The fabric of time torn open and captured, made accessible to revisit. Time stretched between repeats. Worlds unfolding against a backdrop of mountainous amplitude peaks. Expression loosed, weaving a tapestry of frequencies aligned in time. Uncovered over the past year through a sonic process of audio archaeology. Meaning divined through research.
Two Notes and the space between.
The evolution of a sunrise. The revolution of the earth. I think of: my family, my friends, my community, and myself: we grow up so fast. Not mine alone, but thankfully a part of me. The universe around and within us as moments pass by. Moments felt, expressed, coded, and deciphered through a lens of sensation and energy. Moments shared, like the ones we’re sharing right now. Focus, Love, and Respect.
Two Notes and the Space Between.
Growth refracted in the natural world. Our bodies, our earth, the spaces we inhabit expanding in the march of time. Light bent by sound waves fantastically obscuring images of beauty. The influence of productivity and expression synthesized in these moments that we share. These moments and the space between. These moments and the space between us. These moments a part of us.
Thank you for these moments.
