about

(Very) Abstract is a collection of solo electric guitar improvisations recorded with a healthy collection of effect pedals.

From fingertip to G&L Legacy Special, outfitted with Fralin Stratocaster pickups, through the classic Silvertone 1474 recorded directly to Zoom H2, this is an experiment in interpretive expression.

Channeled frequencies reflected through the network of synapses firing in-the-moment. Vibrations cascading through an aquarium of electronics and reproduction devices. Time warped in the flow of super sonic guitar source manipulation in realtime.

Primary tools of abstraction on these recordings include: Empress "Echo System", Red Panda "Tensor", Audio Disruption Devices "Data Error", Hologram Electronics "Infinite Jets", Recovery Effects "White Gold".

On the edge of reality mailing-back waveforms from another dimension.

Part of a three volume set including (Mostly) Clean) and (Pretty) Dirty recorded in January 2020, (Very) Abstract is Lost Chocolate Lab at the limits of perception.

Take care of yourself, take care of each other, and stay good.
